Domino Server Task Definitions

Navigate to: Configurator » IBM Domino Settings » Server Task Definitions tab


You can monitor Domino server tasks to determine if a task is or is not running on a specific Domino server. In addition, you can select to apply an action (i.e. load/quit HTTP) if a task is or is not running. 

Add New Server Task

  1. Click the Add button.
  2. Enter a name to define the Server Task.
  3. Enter the correct settings for the the Server Task: Idle String, Console String, and Load Command.

    To obtain the correct settings, issue a "show stat server.task" command in the Domino server console window.

    • The text immediately following the '=' sign is the Console String.
    • The text following the Console String is the Idle String.
  4. Select a Retry Count.

  5. If you choose to enable Hang Detection, select a Maximum Run Time.

    Hang Detection is optional and may not be appropriate for all tasks.

  6. Click the Save button.


Edit Existing Server Task

  1. Select the Server Task you wish to make changes to.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Make any changes to the Server Task as needed.
  4. Click the Save button to save the changes.

Delete Existing Server Task

  1. Select the Server Task you wish to delete.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. Click OK to confirm you would like to delete the Server Task.
