You can monitor a variety of folders within a Notes Database Replica (cluster). VitalSigns allows you to setup a difference threshold to determine the percentage difference in document counts between two replicas.

Add Notes Database Replica Monitor

  1. Click the Add button.
  2. Enter a name to define the replica.
  3. Choose a type category for the replica.
  4. Check the box for "Enabled for scanning" if you would like VitalSigns to monitor this replica.
  5. Set your scan intervals.
  6. Choose at least two servers you would like analyze.
  7. Enter the File mask you would like VitalSigns to use to analyze.

The File Mask is a wild-card text string that will qualify the database for cluster analysis. For example, using a File Mask of "mail" will select any database with "mail" in the name (mail\aforbes.nsf and mail2\zbrown.nsf). If you would like ALL databases to be analyzed, use ".nsf" as you File Mask.

  8. Enter any folders you would like excluded from replica analysis.
  9. Enter the Difference Threshold percentage.

The Difference Threshold is the percentage difference in document count between two replicas on different servers.

  10. Click the Save button.
