3.2 Release Notes

New Features

  • Dramatic improvements to WebSphere monitoring, including a WebSphere server import wizard that supports both RMI and SOAP protocols, a Health Assessment tab for individual WebSphere detail pages, a WebSphere Server Health page, WebSphere related alerts, etc.
  • Second-generation iOS application is released to the Apple app store.  Search for “RPR VitalSigns” to download.
  • Improved key user devices monitoring for Traveler and ActiveSync users.   Now key user devices are presented on a dedicated screen that is optimized for rapidly conveying status information.  Key users are monitored in a separate, performance-optimized thread to ensure that the information is always up to date.
  • Performance optimization of Traveler mobile screen.
  • Enhanced Traveler server health page.  Server-specific detail has been moved to the server detail page in a separate tab .  The tab is shown from the server details page only for Traveler servers.

Improvements

  • A simplified Cluster Replicator Health page can be accessed via the Server Health menu.  VitalSigns detects servers that are members of a cluster and adds them to this page.
  • A new page “Database Replication Health” is available under the Database List menu item in the Dashboard.   This information was formerly on the Cluster Health page but this caused confusion because the servers in the report were not necessarily members of the same Domino cluster.
  • Added an info box to explain Mail Server Access grid on Traveler Health tab for Traveler servers.
  • Added ‘number of rows per page’ control to the Key Mobile Devices page.
  • Improved the Microsoft Active Directory Health by making the servers’ overall status the first column.
  • Enhanced ExJournal Scanning to turn provide the ability to turn scanning on/off, and to configure a look back period in minutes.
  • Enhanced ExJournal Service lookback function triggers alert notifications based on specified document counts.
  • Streamlined method for populating the threshold fields on the Network Latency form.
  • Provided option to hide ‘Dashboard only/Executive Summary’ buttons from VitalSigns login page.
  • Removed .NET components from the pre-requisites installer and made .NET framework an optional download.
  • Renamed Lync to  ‘Skype for Business’  throughout the product.
  • Added the ability to create, save, modify and delete new cloud application documents.
  • Split the Delete Alerts function into two functions – delete all and delete 30 days.
  • Added Alert Service log to the list of logs that can be viewed in the front end.
  • Added the ability to delete all the log files using the front end.
