You can use VitalSigns to test mail servers by connecting to the server using the native mail protocol.  In this way VitalSigns acts as if it was a mail client.  Supported protocols include SMTP, POP3, and IMAP.

  •  Go to Servers & Devices -> Mail -> Mail Services
  • Select the Mail Services tab
  • Click the New ()  button
  • Enter the appropriate information into the text boxes
  • Click OK to save the settings
