You can setup log file scanning to receive alerts when a specified keyword appears in the miscellaneous view of the log.nsf file.

Step 1

  • Go to Servers & Devices -> IBM Domino -> Log File Scanning
  • Click the New () button
  • Enter a keyword to search for in the log file
  • Enter a keyword to exclude in the search of the log file (optional)
  • Select the checkbox next to Scan log.nsf
  • You can also select to scan the agentlog.nsf and/or limit the keywords to one alert per day (optional)
  • Click the Update  button to save the changes


 
Step 2

  • To enable log file scanning keywords on specific servers go to Server & Devices -> IBM Domino -> Servers
  • Click the Edit () button next to the desired server
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the checkbox () to the left of Scan this server's log.nsf entries
  • You can also enable log file scanning on the agentlog.nsf by selecting the checkbox () to the left of Scan this server's agentlog.nsf entries
  • Note: all log file keyword definitions will apply to the servers you enable for log/agentlog file scanning
  • Click OK to save the page
  • To enable alerts, please select the log file scanning event for your alert definition (Alert Definitions)
