Recurring Alert Options (trending alerts)

You can enable recurring alert options to prevent VitalSigns from constantly sending you alerts when an issue is not necessarily critical.

For example, your Traveler status may toggle between a yellow and green status for a short period throughout the day. You may not want to be informed about every instance when this occurs. With recurring alerts, you have the option to receive a single alert if the issue occurs more than X number of times in an hour.


  1. Go to Alerts » Alert Settings.
  2. Select the Recurring Alerting tab.
  3. Select the checkbox () to the left of Alert about recurrences only.

  4. Enter a value for the Number of recurrences

    This value is the number of times the event must fail before VitalSigns alerts you of a problem.
  5. Select the events/alerts for which you want to restrict alerts.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.
